Location

FIGURE EIGHT ISLAND,

NORTH CAROLINA

We can’t wait to welcome you to Figure Eight Island! Casa De Tremonti— our beloved family home on Figure Eight Island, is affectionately named "House of Sunsets." Perched on its own point and facing due west, it offers a breathtaking, all-encompassing view of the setting sun.

Parker and I have cherished countless evenings here, sipping Mom’s signature Figure 8 Cocktail or a refreshing High Noon after sun-filled days. Each sunset feels like a divine masterpiece, painted by God’s hand with hues of golden yellow, soft peach, lilac lavender, and dusky blue. We’ll sit back and watch as a masterpiece is painted across the sky!

OUR LOVE STORY

How we met

Parker and Josie first crossed paths during St. David’s summer orientation, when Parker joined the Class of 2019 as the newest fifth grader.

Parker insists he doesn’t recall this initial meeting, but Josie vividly remembers sitting behind him in Miss Heare’s sixth-grade English class. She had to nudge him to let him know what page they were on. His reply? “I’ve already finished. I’m reading ahead on the next book.”

After a few years of awkwardly dodging each other in the hallways, Parker finally mustered the courage during their eighth-grade DC trip to ask Josie for her number—and a photo. Their connection as family friends through church added a layer of lighthearted familiarity to their budding friendship.

2015 - 2019

Throughout high school, Parker and Josie were like ships passing in the night. One year, Parker asked Josie to a homecoming dance—a night she fondly remembers as a lot of fun. That evening laid the foundation for a friendship and mutual respect and liking towards one another.

Senior year of high school arrived in the blink of an eye, and with it, a budding connection between Parker and Josie. Over the course of a few months, their friendship grew into a relationship, and they quickly became integral to each other’s final year of high school. Together, they shared countless milestones and "lasts"—from football games and golf matches to school plays, college auditions, and the whirlwind of acceptances and rejections.

A senior class trip to Greece added unforgettable memories to an already momentous year. As graduation approached, Parker and Josie made the bittersweet decision to part ways for college and focus on their individual paths. Josie was headed to Nashville to pursue her passion for music at Belmont University, while Parker set his sights on becoming an Ole Miss Rebel.

2019 - 2023

After a few months of minimal contact, save for the occasional check-in, Parker reached out to Josie during a holiday break and invited her to dinner at Chubbie's Tacos. Though he claimed to simply need a date for a formal in New Orleans, Parker now admits he always intended to rekindle their relationship. Josie agreed to go—even though the formal was still three months away—and thus began the journey that has brought us to today. Three weeks after the formal, the COVID-19 pandemic brought them both back to their hometown of Raleigh, NC, with little to do besides taking long walks outdoors. During those months, Parker and Josie rediscovered their connection and found themselves falling for each other in a deeper, more serious way.

The next three years were spent navigating a long-distance relationship, visiting one another, forming friendships within each other’s circles, and immersing themselves in each other’s communities. Parker and Josie shared countless adventures, from cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels in the Grove to discovering the famous rally hat, enjoying late-night chicken on a stick, being featured on a Vaught stadium kiss cam, trips to Lake Martin with Truckulent, nights on Broadway, long walks around 12 South, and summer escapes to Figure Eight and Grandfather Mountain.

2023 - Present

The Lord answered their prayers, opening doors for both Parker and Josie to start their careers in Charlotte, NC. It didn’t take long in the Queen City for Parker to realize Josie was “the one.”

“She was there for me through one of the hardest seasons of my life,” Parker reflects. “While adjusting to a new city, navigating a tough job, raising a new puppy, and coping with family losses, Josie showed me a level of love and support I never knew was possible.”

On October 26, 2024—29 years to the day Jeff and Heather got engaged—Parker popped the question in the backyard of the Nicholson family home on Figure Eight Island. Josie joyfully said, “YES!” Parker orchestrated the surprise of a lifetime, with their grandparents and siblings joining to witness the moment and celebrate afterward. Even Bentley, their beloved frenchie, was part of the special day!
